Keepin’ It Simple
by Jeannette Maw

With a new year and clean slate ahead, it's a natural time to engage a habit that allows 2009 to unfold in a way you love.  While we may each have a different practice or technique that suits us best, it doesn't matter so much what we do as much as it does that we actively engage what we know works!

It's one thing to study and chat and theorize about the law of attraction; it's another to incorporate it into day in, day out life.

Some folks bring deliberate creation to life in their new year by declaring a "theme for the year."  Others revisit vision boards or action plans and tweak them as appropriate.  Some check in on core values, making changes as necessary to life priority lists.

I start each year off by writing a list of intentions - things I'd love to see happen during the year.

Some find that just reminding themselves to segment intend, or commit to choosing what feels good, or picking up a new mantra or affirmation are all they need to kick the new year in gear and travel easy street for getting what they want.

We deliberate creators sometimes make things more complicated than they are (or is that just me?), which is why the simplicity of a recent comment on the Day In Day Out Manifesting post hit home:

Kim Falconer, newly published author of The Spell of Rosette (which is the most amazing fantasy book I've laid my hands on and one of my favorite client success stories), shared this formula for manifesting that succinctly captures key elements for deliberate creation:

Want It + Not Need It = Get It

That simple formula reminds her that success best comes by flowing desire without attachment.  Her positive experiences with it reinforce the wisdom of her practicing it.

What about you?  What are you committing to this year?  What habits or practices serve YOU best?  And are you willing to apply it to what you would LOVE to see happen in 2009?

Consider this your official invitation to get in the manifesting game by getting off the sidelines and engaging conscious creation - whatever that may look like for you!
