The Crucial Difference: Yearning Vs. Desire
by Jeannette Maw

Every once in a while someone hires me who says they've been practicing deliberate creation "forever" without any results.  They've read the books, attended the workshops, done the exercises, but nada.  Nothing's happening.

And they just get more frustrated when they see other people who are creating success.

Thinking you're doing everything "right" and yet not getting results isn't a fun feeling.

Which is why I enjoyed Abraham's recent words that highlighted quite well the difference between people who manifest things easily and those who don't.  Here's what Abe had to say:

"Pure desire is: 'I want it.  I got it.  It's coming.  I know it.'"

There is no doubt woven in it.  It's a confident feeling - in fact, Abraham called it a "fresh and light and free and frisky" feeling.  That's how you easily manifest something - by getting to that feeling of pure desire and confident knowing.

But what many people flow, without even realizing it, is something more like yearning.  "I really want this, it's been so long I've been wanting this, surely I deserve it, dang - they've got theirs, why can't I have mine? ... I really really really want this!"

Can you feel the difference?

We can do all the "right" things - have our vision board in place, do our daily visualizing, repeat our affirmations - and yet if we're flowing the vibe of yearning, desperation, or lack, Universe can't deliver no matter how many times we watch the Secret or read the latest self LOA book.

What we want to do is release the doubt and embrace the trust.  If you don't know what that feels like or how to do it - you'll want to learn because it will make all the difference in the world.

Remember that the feeling of doubt exists as a result of a thought you're holding.  Trace the doubt back to the thought that inspired it, and then RETHINK!  You can choose your thoughts and it's high time you developed this conscious discipline.

Don't let those thoughts run willy nilly - you be in charge of them.  Pick up the reins and hold the thoughts that inspire confidence and trust and knowing.  I would offer a list of thoughts here, but the thoughts that work for me ("I can do this; I'm the best there is") may not work for you.

Find your good thoughts - the ones that help you reconnect with your pure desire - and leave the yearning behind.

Anything you choose can be yours; it's just a matter of getting the vibe lined up.
