Each December I share my top manifesting ahas and insights from the prior year. In no particular order, here's what stood out for me in 2009, in hopes that you'll be inspired to acknowledge your favorite things about the year as well.
1) It's all good.
Really and truly I'm getting better at not seeing things as gone "wrong." Last week as my boyfriend laid down an ultimatum that could very well end the relationship, I thought, "Hey, maybe I get to practice having a breakup in the vortex!" (The vortex is an Abe reference, for those not familiar.)
2) It's easy to mistake priorities, and just as easy to right them. The length of time it takes to make a new decision is as long as it takes to get back on track.
3) It's okay to be mad. Or sad. Or entertained. In fact, it's part of the process. So we can get over thinking we're supposed to live in joy 24/7. Also, it's crucial to feel the feelings in order to move up the vibrational scale. Whatever we're feeling is perfectly appropriate, no matter what someone else might think. In 2009 I got more and more okay with what was up emotionally. Cool place to be.
4) Life's pleasures are ridiculously simple. At least they are for me.
(I thought it again today, as I sat under a warm blanket on a snowy day
in my favorite reading chair next to the window watching the birds outside
with a cat on my lap, a dog sleeping underfoot, a new book in hand thinking,
"This is my idea of a good time.")
Recognizing what makes me happy and building a life around that has taken
some work, but it's sure paying off.
5) It never pays to ignore inner guidance. Period.
Next year I'd like to give myself a shortcut to more happiness and follow that guidance more doggedly.
6) People are amazing. We're capable of much, much more than I ever guessed, and I'm sure that'll continue to be proven out in 2010. You guys rock!
7) Everything is better with a good night's sleep. Self care in general is vital to a fulfilling life and 2009 taught me that making myself the highest priority will not cost me every other good thing in my life. Good to know.
So thank you, clients, for not firing me when I was slow to get recaps out. And thank you, readers, for continuing to subscribe and share copies or these articles even when I used swear words.
And happy New Year!
